The General Data Protection Regulation is an EU regulation that replaced PUL, the Swedish Personal Data Act, on May 25, 2018. Privacy Policy
The Scholarship Fund for Swedish Youth Abroad respects your privacy and protects all personal data we process.
The personal data we collect primarily includes information you provide to us, such as date of birth, email address, etc., in your scholarship application, as well as bank account numbers in your reimbursement form. This personal data is archived/saved for a specific number of years. For students/interns/school organizations awarded scholarships, the data is saved for seven years, and for those not awarded scholarships, the data is saved for three years before being deleted.
All personal data from application forms previously stored on paper and in specific databases will also be deleted after seven or three years, respectively. This applies to all types of scholarships.
The Scholarship Fund shares the student’s name, address, date of birth, and stated school/course fee with the school/course organizer related to the application. At the start of the fall semester, we contact the respective school/course organizer to verify whether the student has commenced their studies or attended the course. After confirmation from the schools/course organizers, we send out reimbursement forms and disburse the scholarships. For school scholarships, we also conduct a verification with the schools at the start of the spring semester.
You have the right to know what information we have about you in our records. You can choose to have your personal data removed from our records at any time – contact our office at maud@stipfond.se if you have questions about this.
